Cherry wood deepens in color and character over time in a way that cannot be replicated with newly harvested Cherry lumber. Reclaimed Cherry also offers stability that cannot be matched with “New” wood.
HARDWOOD CHERRY TRADITIONAL DESCRIPTION:
Cherry is a strong, stable wood that can be milled to an exceptionally smooth finish. The sapwood can be pink with streaks of yellow that darken over time, especially with exposure to sunlight. The heartwood is dark red and dominates most boards. Because of its hardness and machinability, cherry is an excellent choice for flooring, millwork and fine furniture.
Most of our reclaimed flooring is manufactured with tongue and groove joinery that develops a square edge face on the top surface.
