RECLAIMED WORMY CHESTNUT

Boards & Timbers

Semi-Surfaced to Preserve the Rich Character of This Hard-to-Find Treasure

We at Southern Crafted Millwork are very pleased to offer Wormy Chestnut to our customers.

Wormy Chestnut, which is difficult to find, is milled from old barn floors and barn timbers found in central Virginia. Wormy Chestnut is one of our favorite reclaimed floors. Its rich-aged appearance and color variation will range from a golden honey brown to varying shades of dark brown.

Wormy Chestnut has a very rich character. You will find scattered nail and spike holes in these planks along with some original saw marks. The many years of history have given this flooring a time-worn appearance that would be impossible to replicate.

Our semi-surfaced, reclaimed Chestnut flooring retains its rough face, since it is lightly passed through our planer to remove some of the old patina and saw marks while preserving its character.
